Why Digital-Marketing is so important for Business Consultants

As a Business-Consultant, in my case as a Sales-Consultant, I also have to deal with topics that are not part of my core competencies.

Marketing has been one of these topics for years. But my knowledge from my studies is far outdated.

Digital marketing is important today, as a flyer 10 or 15 years ago.

Knowledge and information in this area is developing ultra-fast.

My customers keep asking me what I really have to do as an entrepreneur and who can help me.

How does this work and where can I find more information?

As I also need digital marketing for my company and always looking for easy solutions, I decided to contact agencies. I tought: These are professionals who know what they are doing and help me.

My goal was to find a good partner who could advise me and then also advise my customers.

 

Boy, did I fall on my face with that!


First of all the search for a good agency. Then you have found or recommended a good one and after 3-4 months you realize: No, they don't know what they have to do. There're no results. We just spent a lot of money!

So I've been thinking strategically about how to reach my goal.

What do I need? On the one hand, good marketing, but also control over what the agency does.

By chance I came to Udacity through a customer.

He has done some trainings in the field of AI and he is very enthusiastic.

 

Now I have registered for the Digital Marketing Nano Degree (DMND). 

No, I don't want to become a digital marketer right now. I want to be able to understand and plan digital marketing with my customers and then have it implemented by an agency.

 

But now I can monitor and control the agency. They won't fool me anymore, thanks to Udacity's DMND program
